Tarumitra India participated in Jagriti Mela (Awareness Fest) 2017 organized by East Central Railway Women's Welfare Organization from 27th Jan-29th Jan, 2017.
Students from May Flower School, S R Vidyapeeth, St. M G Public School, Dr. Ambedkar Academy, A N College & St. Xavier's College actively volunteered in this fete. They interacted with the common public and briefed them about green works including plantation, waste management, recycling, organic kitchen & medicinal garden.
They kept a vigil around the entire venue and charged fine of Rs. 5 as Earth Tax to anyone who littered the place. They took charge of the entire Tarumitra stall for 3 days giving the Tarumitra core team an indirect leave.
This was my first participation for Tarumitra stall and it was indeed memorable. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
