Sabri Shiksha Mahotsav was organized in Sherghati by Jeevan Sangham on 27th January 2020 as the part of educational programme in NEG-FIRE project. In this Shiksha Mahatsavi Shri. Uday Narayan Chaudhary honorable former speaker of Bihar legislative assembly was the chief guest and Shri Santosh Kumar Singh BDO of Sherghati block was the guest of honour on this occasion. The Students from 12 government schools of our operational area exhibited their exhibition and many teachers as well as BDO encouraged the students for their efforts and explanation. Shri Santosh Kumar the BDO, awarded our manjhi students who obtained highest attendance in government schools. To promote the culture of our Manjhi communities Jhumar competition was organized. Women from different villages performed it. Fr. Anto Joseph gave introduction on Sabri Shiksha which set the tone for the rest of the programme. The chief guest emphasized the Dr. Baba Amedkar’s contribution in our constitution. He also shared his vision for the dalit and down trodden people. Children from Jeevan Sangham performed dances during this occasion. This Shiksha Mahotsav gave platform for all the students and women of Manjhi community to express their views.
